The Brockville and Area Food Bank operates with the support of about 60 volunteer positions.
Each week, volunteers are assigned to these roles to ensure that we serve our communities’ needs. There are two paid staff members on site to support operations and our volunteers.
While volunteers at the Food Bank come from all walks of life, they share one thing in common: the desire to give back in a welcoming, non-judgemental, and supportive manner. They demonstrate these same values to the visitors to the food bank and fellow volunteers, forging a unique community bond between us all.
The Brockville and Area Food Bank was launched in 1985. From the start up to today, volunteers play a vital role in every facet of our operations. Without the dedication of our volunteers, we could not fulfill our mission to end hunger in our community.
